The Tundra is a full-size truck with a big following in the desert, and it has strong suspension support for both generations. Here are your options.
Mid travel: level it and add travel
Dirt King's mid travel kits level the truck and keep the stock width:
- PreRunner kits, tuned for faster off-road driving: 2007–2021 and 2022–2026. The 2022+ kit includes 2.5" DCA coilovers, rear shocks, multi-rate springs and billet upper control arms.
- Trail Runner kits, tuned for daily comfort and trails: 2007–2021 and 2022–2026.
Long travel for the 2007–2021 Tundra
The Dirt King Long Travel Kit for the 2007–2021 Tundra gives 14.5" of front travel and fits up to a 37" tire, the most travel of any standard kit in this guide series. It works on 2WD and 4WD trucks.
What it needs:
- Coilovers built to spec: FOX 2.5 or King.
- Optional bypass shocks for more damping control: FOX or King triple bypasses.
- 4WD trucks: long travel axle shafts or complete axle assemblies.
- Fenders to cover the wider track.
The rear
The Dirt King Long Travel Spring Under Kit for the 2007–2021 Tundra is rated for 16" of usable rear travel when combined with a Dirt King bed cage and Deaver leaf-under springs. See Deaver leaf springs.
Which should you choose?
- Daily driver that sees dirt roads: Trail Runner mid travel
- Faster desert driving, stock width: PreRunner mid travel
- Full prerunner on a 2007–2021 truck: long travel, front and rear
