Dirt King Long Travel Kit | 2009–2014 F-150 / 2014–2017 Expedition

Overview

The Dirt King Long Travel Kit is designed to improve off-road handling while retaining everyday drivability. Its boxed upper and lower control arms use 1-inch stainless steel uniballs at the outer pivots for strength and increased articulation. The system provides 12 inches of wheel travel, 0–2.5 inches of lift, and widens track width by 3.5 inches per side.

The kit supports 2WD and 4WD configurations. Four-wheel-drive customers can choose extended axle shafts or complete axle assemblies directly from the drivetrain dropdown. The suspension is tabbed for bypass shocks and can be adapted to the factory sway bar.

Shock and tire requirements

Full 12-inch travel requires Dirt King specification shocks or shocks built to Dirt King’s coilover specification. Four-wheel-drive models use King or Fox OEM-replacement coilovers with 700 lb springs. The 2014 F-150 uses a different lower shock mount than 2009–2013 trucks and requires the DK-900963 lower-control-arm shock spacer kit.

Using 37-inch tires requires wheel-well modifications, including work at the firewall pinch weld, front cab mount, and upper wheel well.
