Overview

Dirt King’s long travel kit is designed to improve off-road handling while keeping predictable street manners. It provides up to 13.5 inches of front wheel travel, widens the track 3.5 inches per side and supports up to a 35-inch tire with the required clearance work. The boxed upper and lower control arms use 1-inch stainless steel uniballs at the outer pivots, and the lower arms retain the factory mounting location for added ground clearance.

Front fiberglass is required. Contact Baja Racing Parts before ordering if the vehicle uses lift spindles or a bracket lift. Compatibility with parts from other manufacturers must be confirmed by that manufacturer.

Installation notes

• Four-wheel-drive applications require a 1-inch differential drop and machining of the inner CV joints to achieve full travel. Dirt King offers the required axle services and complete axle assemblies.
• Dirt King specification shocks are recommended. Some Tacoma OEM-replacement coilovers can be used with the correct spring and top spacer, but they reduce available travel.
• The optional bypass hoop requires welding and frame modifications.
• Running 35-inch tires requires wheel-well clearance work, flattening the firewall pinch weld and modifying the cab mount.
